This is further away in The Colony (about 20 minute drive) but I highly recommend the drive to check it out! LOTS to do and see there. Be sure to check out Nebraska Furniture Mart and Scheels and ride the HUGE carousel. There is also a food truck venue behind Scheels that is worth checking out. TONS of restaurants. Upottery is a fun indoor mini golf. Andretti's for indoor racing and a new place that should be up and running by the wedding where you can do zip lining.
Historic Downtown McKinney
Lots of antique shops. Park in the free garage parking off West Virginia Street and Church Street
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Rail Operations
The hotel we are utilizing with a room block, Aloft, is one block from the CityLine DART Rail station which is on the redline and can take you all the way into downtown Dallas to visit all the sites from the Dallas Aquarium, Perot Museum, Dallas Art Museum, see where Kennedy was shot and the 6th Floor Museum as well as many other things to see downtown.
The Star, Home of the Dallas Cowboys
If you are a Cowboys fan this is the place, you'll want to visit! 20-minute drive from the Aloft Hotel takes you to the Star which has many restaurants as well as the Headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys. Events go on every weekend and there are tours available as well which are well worth the tickets.
